Manga Production Officially Launches Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds in Riyadh
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 25 September 2025 – Manga Production, a subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “MiSK”, has officially launched the highly anticipated game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds across multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam. This release comes as part of Manga Production’s strategic partnership with Japan’s renowned SEGA Corporation to bring the iconic franchise to gamers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Manga Production will collaborate closely with SEGA to distribute and promote the game while providing opportunities for Saudi talent to actively participate in publishing and marketing initiatives.
In a pre-launch exclusive event hosted at Twisted Labs: Boulevard City in Riyadh, attendees were offered an immersive opportunity to experience the new features of the game firsthand. The event drew a large crowd of content creators, gaming influencers, and media representatives, who engaged with the game’s competitive dynamics and participated in interactive challenges. The event not only showcased the excitement and innovation of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, but also significantly boosted awareness among the gaming community, presenting the title as one of the most anticipated releases of the year in the region.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds represents the next generation of kart racing games, developed by SEGA’s acclaimed arcade games team. The game introduces dynamic track designs that allow players to transition into unknown worlds in the second lap of each race, enhancing the thrill and unpredictability of every competition. With a roster of 23 characters at launch and plans to expand through post-launch updates, players will have access to a diverse lineup including fan favorites and special guest appearances such as Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona 5 Royal, Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, as well as iconic characters from Minecraft, SpongeBob SquarePants, and more.
Players can strategically customize their racing experience with over 70 unique power-ups, each offering distinctive abilities and gameplay advantages. The game also supports online multiplayer with cross-platform play, enabling up to 12 players to compete across various thrilling modes.
Beyond its engaging gameplay, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds offers extensive vehicle customization options in both aesthetics and performance, along with power-ups that can dramatically influence race outcomes.
